Guys… my friends are making babies ON PURPOSE! Wrapping my brain around growing up has been strange for sure. When I was younger in high school and college, I always felt older than everyone in some way. I knew I had more responsibilities on my plate than the average cat at those ages, but it didn’t really bother me. Now, I look at my friends building houses and making babies and think, “WHOAH!” We rush and rush and rush to grow up and now I would like it to slow down for a bit;)
I look at friends like Kyle and Erin and cannot believe how much good they have accomplished already in their lives. We all met in college and I cannot remember a time when Erin and Kyle were not dating. The one thing that pops into my mind when I think about them is how there was no drama I can recall. Sure, I bet they had some growing pains behind the scenes because every relationship does, but their love seemed so easy and comfortable. They are just two beautiful people who are exceptionally kind to the people around them.
Enter Caroline. She is even sweeter than the song. I’ve been cyber-stalkin’ this little munchkin since she was born because she is seriously just the cutest kid! I cannot explain how, but even just from seeing her pictures online I knew that she had that same kindness I always loved about her parents. When I arrived for the session, Caroline answered the door. Just a few minutes into chatting, she wanted to take me around and show me every room in the house. Learning to share Mom and Dad with a new sibling can be tough, but this sweet Caroline is handling it like a pro.
And now baby Colin is part of the crew!! This little family was an absolute joy to hang with and snag some fun photos along the way. After our session it was time to say goodbye and Kyle extended his elbow to me. Yup, his elbow. For a second I was totally confused and then it hit me! We had a mutual friend in college that did not wash his hands one day after using the restroom. A public restroom! I told him I would no longer give him high-fives and apparently I extended this rule for other gentleman. So, we elbow five.
This photo session deserved some serious elbow fives!
Baby Colin needed a quick break and Caroline was more than happy to have her own photo session for a bit!
