Luis & Kori

University of Kentucky Wedding

These two exemplify what it means when you find a partner who is truly a best friend. Every time they spoke to me about each other, when exchanging gifts before the ceremony, and during their vows, their love and respect for each other as true friends was consistently present. I may not be married yet, but I am convinced those feelings are what make a marriage stand the test of time.

Luis and Kori had the day planned out perfectly. The wanted a day filled with love and elegance. The ceremony and reception were held in the Hillary J. Boone Center located on the University of Kentucky campus. For their portraits, we used the lovely courtyard located in the middle of the building and crossed the street to utilize the beautiful light coming through the trees near the President’s House.

One of my favorite details of their wedding day was how Kori wove in the traditional of something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Scroll through the images of their day and be on the lookout for those sweet details!

Louie and Kori will soon be leaving KY. As a last homage to the state where they met and fell in love, Kori walked down the aisle to My Old Kentucky Home. Luis and Kori will soon be leaving KY. Nothing compares to the look these two gave each other as Louie gently lifted Kori’s veil off of her face. They were just SO excited to become husband and wife. This is such a fun idea for weddings! All of the married couples come to the dance floor and the DJ will call out amounts of time until only the couple who has been married the longest remain standing. The couple then shares wisdom and knowledge on a successful marriage with the newlyweds! This is such a fun idea for weddings! In this shot, you can catch a glimpse of Kori’s something old. This was a piece of clothing from Louie’s grandfather! In this shot, you can catch a glimpse of Kori’s something old. This was a piece of clothing from Luis’ grandfather!

This is one of my favorite images from the day! Fun fact on how we pulled it off: I wore a pink sweater this day and I had my arm up and bent while shooting. Nick stood behind me and took this picture by looking BETWEEN my arm and my head. The sweater created this soft pink glow around the beautiful couple! This is one of my favorite images from the day!
