When Claire originally reached out to me, I rushed to check my calendar and realized I was booked for her date. I wrote back to her and sadly told her I would not be able to be her wedding photographer. Then a few days later, the wedding originally on their date had to make adjustments, I was all of a sudden available for her date, and scrambled to write an email to her right then and there from my phone to let her know! I am so thankful fate worked in our favor and I get to be there to see Nick and Claire get married.

Claire and Nick both grew up here in Lexington and we wanted to highlight some Lexington magic with their engagement session. We started out at the Henry Clay Estate not only because Claire grew up a few block away, but this is also where Nick popped the question! With the sun shinning beautifully through the trees, we had fun getting to know each other and kicking off the session with beautiful images.

After Henry Clay, we moved to historic Gratz Park and the surrounding areas which featured more beautiful light, color pops from tulips, and Lexington’s own tiny rainbow row.

This Spring session was filled with so much color and laughter. I cannot wait to see Nick and Claire get married at the Thoroughbred Center this fall.
